The second session of the ‘Play Forward’ seminar series — initiated in collaboration between the Sports Studies Centre and the football strategy initiative Loba, and focusing on sustainability in sport — will take place on Saturday 29 November.
In the second session of the series (following the first held last month), the theme will be “Green Investments: Does Reducing Carbon Footprint Enhance Your Credibility?” The event will be held at the Cibali Campus of Kadir Has University on Saturday 29 November. Registration is now open.
Play Forward — the first regular seminar series in the Turkish sports ecosystem focusing on sustainability — aims to raise awareness about sustainability and bring this topic to the forefront of the sporting agenda. At the same time, it serves as a strong platform for networking and knowledge sharing: participants will have the opportunity to closely observe sustainability practices being carried out in the sector and form new connections.
Participation in the seminars is free of charge. However, in line with our vision to create societal impact and awareness, participants who complete the online registration are expected to make a donation to a non-governmental organisation working in the field of sustainability. Upon sharing the donation receipt (the amount left entirely to the participant’s discretion), registration will be considered complete for those who registered online.
Through this approach, Play Forward is intended not merely as a knowledge‐sharing platform but as a solidarity initiative that directly contributes to social benefit.
