UEFA Football Law Programme V (2023-24)

The UEFA Football Law Programme is organized for lawyers who work in the field of football and also want to specialize in this field by following contemporary developments.

The UEFA Football Law Programme has been held every two years since the 2015/16 academic year and a total of 100 participants from different European countries have successfully graduated from the programme. This will be the fifth program in the series, starting in October 2023 and ending in September 2024.

The UEFA Football Law Programme consists of four five-day seminars, with each seminar covering a key topic in football law. The program has been developed by UEFA with the support of international academics and professionals.

Seminar Schedule

– Introduction to football law (October 2-6, 2023) (Kadir Has University, Istanbul)

– FIFA transfer regulations (February 19-23, 2024) (Czech Football Association, Prague)

– Other rules and regulations in the field of football (April 8-12, 2024) (Ca’ Foscari University, Venice)

– Structure and prodecures of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) (September 23-27, 2024) (UEFA HQ, Nyon)

Participants who will be successful at the end of the training program will be entitled to receive a certificate of participation issued by UEFA Academy and an advanced training certificate in football law issued by Kadir Has University.

The total number of participants is limited to 24-26 people.

Registration Requirements

Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria;

– Working in the legal department of a UEFA member federation,

– Working in the legal department of a football club, players’ union or league organization,

– Working as a lawyer in a law firm handling football related cases.

The program language is English. Participants must also demonstrate a good command of English (subject to written and oral assessment).

Fee

Program fee: €7,900 (Includes training materials, lunches, coffee breaks and formal dinners).

This fee does not include travel and accommodation costs.

UEFA covers all expenses of candidates selected for the program who are employees of national football associations.
