2025/26 Lectures Have Begun

2025/26 term has begun in two of our Center’s longest-running programs: Sports Communication and Sports Law and Management. The new term opened with an orientation meeting attended by participants from both programs. During the meeting, Emir Güney, Director of the Sports Studies Center, shared information about the Center’s work and provided general information about how the programs operate.

This year, the Sports Law and Management program is being held for the 17th time. The first week began with an introductory session in which Emir Güney provided information about the program and answered participants’ questions. The week continued with sessions delivered by Emir Güney on European and North American sports models and the history of sports governance in Türkiye. The first week concluded with a session by Dr. Burak Oder, who shared his expertise on administrative law in sport and the concept of autonomy.

This year, the Sports Communication program is being held for the 19th time. The first week began with sessions by Murat Toklucu, who presented snapshots from the history of sports journalism in Türkiye. In another session during the week, the program coordinator, Bağış Erten, shared general information about the program and answered questions from participants. The first week concluded with a session titled “Live Broadcast” by Barış Kuyucu, Chairman of Bi’Talih Communication Group, who shared with participants the roles he has undertaken and his experiences across different areas of the media.
